Ep. 17: Rediscovering Your Playful Side with Kirsten Trammell
Kirsten is an Engineer turned artist. She says she reached a point where she couldn't bear to walk into another "day at the office" and decided to leave the corporate world behind and create a life connected to who she truly is. She now runs a freelance ghostwriting business, is a creative writer and blogger exploring the artistic human experience one word at a time. Her mission is to help others accept who they are and find joy within their own story.
We discuss:
• Feeling unfulfilled at work and knowing how and when to recognize it’s time to make a change.
• How to deal with negative reactions from the people closest to you when you decide to make some kind of big change in your life.
• How we tend to stifle our playful, goofy side, especially in a corporate environment and how to reconnect with it.
• How playing the part of someone else can actually help you get back in touch with yourself
• How a psychedelic drug experience helped put her life into perspective.
• And how writing your own story can help give you a new perspective on it as well as provide an opportunity to break the rules and find our own voice.
